Zizkov TV Tower – Panorama Sightseen

When the sun is shining, the sky is blue and you have no idea what to do, why not enjoy a great panoramic sight seen of Prague?

One of the best spots to do it is the Ziskov TV Tower, where you can find a different 360 degree perspective of the city.

We won’t describe its history but you can find it straight away in wikipedia. Nevertheless to say, the tower is definitely an unmistakable Prague landmark which can be seen from almost every point of the city mainly because of  its 216 meters tall.

Offering a panoramic view of the city and Central Bohemia from 93 m above ground, on a clear day, one can see to a distance of up to 100 km/60 miles.

So if you have guests, or your parents are here, that’s it! You will all be happy and can even enjoy a lower sight at the restaurant/cafe just above the observation deck 🙂

Admission: Full 150 Kč, family 120 Kč, students 120 Kč, children (6-14) 60 Kč

Directions:
The closest stops are metro station and tram stop Jiriho z Podebrad (metro green line A and tram no. 11). From the city centre you can also go by tram no. 9 to stop Lipanska.

TIP: The metal babies you see crawling the tower are a work of art made in 2000 by the well known Czech artist David Černý the author of Entropa. You can find another Cerny’s babies in other part of Prague, Kampa Island.
